Coperion K-Tron has been working with and supporting global universities involved in the education and promotion of continuous pharmaceutical processing. As part of these efforts Coperion K-Tron is pleased to announce the creation of a mobile hands-on training lab for continuous direct compression based at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez. The hands-on training curriculum includes education on the principles and operation of Coperion K-Tron loss-in-weight feeders, the Glatt continuous blender and corresponding analysis and troubleshooting of continuous direct compression operations through PAT (Process Analytical Technology). Emphasis is made on the effects of various material properties used in a continuous direct compression line. Training sessions have already begun.
