Innovative compounding of LFT by best-in-class pultrusion process
Pultrusion pellets are an integral part of applications in the automotive and aerospace industries, electronics, construction materials, sports equipment and furniture. Materials produced with the LFT pultrusion process feature superior mechanical properties with low weight; however, they also put put high demands on the compounding process.
Due to its comprehensive engineering know-how in cooperation with partners Coperion provides best-in-class systems for the production of LFT long fiber thermoplastics by pultrusion. The highly accurate Coperion K-Tron feeders, the high-performance twin screw extruders in which the polymer and additive are compounded gently by special screw configurations and the LFT pelletizers and classifiers are provided by Coperion. The roving creel rack, pultrusion impregnation head in which the fibers are impregnated and additional compontents are supplied by partner companies.
