Condition monitoring for the extruder gearbox

We offer the option of equipping the gearbox of ZSK twin screw extruders with a condition monitoring system. This condition monitoring system detects irregularities in extruder gearbox operation at an early stage. Maintenance work can be planned much more efficiently and irregularities in extruder gearbox operation are identified early enough to avoid potential damage. 

Condition monitoring for ZSK extruder gearboxes focuses on two important parameters: monitoring gearbox vibrations and oil condition. The remote service option for ZSK extruders allows Coperion experts to provide support and instructions at short notice if necessary.  

Alternatively, we can carry out vibration measurements on your extruder gearbox at regular intervals. To do this, we use a hand-held measuring device that records and evaluates electrical, mechanical and process-related anomalies on the extrusion system within a few minutes.

Gearbox exchange program

If an extruder gearbox needs to be overhauled, our attractive gearbox exchange program comes into play. We will provide you with a suitable, carefully refurbished extruder gearbox from stock. Your old gearbox is taken over by us. A short interruption in production to replace the gearbox is all it takes. After just a short time, you can resume full production with maximum performance.

With a refurbished gearbox, you are prepared for smooth plant operation over the next few years - without unexpected stops due to gearbox faults. We even offer you extended warranties of 24 months for the replacement gearbox.

Our experts carefully overhaul the old extruder gearbox in one of our gearbox workshops in Stuttgart, Germany, or Wytheville, VA, USA. We provide an inspection report and only charge you for the necessary repair work.

The overhauled gearbox, which now offers full performance again, is transferred to our stock of replacement gearboxes. There, together with many other gearboxes, it awaits its next use. Perhaps with you?
