For the recycling of post-consumer recyclate (PCR) and other highly contaminated polymers, we have developed the innovative ZSK FilCo filtration compounder, which allows “filtration” and “compounding” in a single production step.
The ZSK FilCo combines numerous advantages. The used plastic only has to be melted once. This makes processing and recycling extremely gentle and ensures a very high end product quality. At the same time, energy consumption and emissions during the compounding process are reduced by more than 50%. With the ZSK FilCo system, all product streams are gravimetrically fed into the recycling process – another plus for higher quality recycled plastic.
Visitors and exhibitors at NPE 2024 in Orlando, Florida/USA, voted the ZSK FilCo as the best innovation and awarded it the Sustainability Innovation People's Choice prize. The award was accepted by Massimo Serapioni, Head of the Recycling business unit, and Bettina König, Global Marketing Communications, at the NPE.
And our ZSK FilCo is in the running for another award: The innovative recycling system has been selected as a finalist in the Plastics Recycling Award Europe 2024. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will receive the award during the Plastics Recycling Show Europe on June 19 and 20, 2024 in Amsterdam/Netherlands.
