Coperion is supplying materials handling and feeding technologies for fluff, pellets and additives as well as extrusion technology for the large-scale plant, which is being built for a total volume of 6 billion dollars.
In order to be able to operate the polymer production complex as energy-efficiently as possible once it is completed, it will be equipped exclusively with state-of-the-art technology. To this end, ethane will be used as feedstock for polymer production.
The complex will be equipped with an ethane cracker and two HDPE lines. The ethane cracker is designed for a production capacity of 2.08 million tons of ethylene per year and will therefore be the most powerful in Middle East. The two polyethylene systems are configured for capacities of 1 million and 680,000 tons per year respectively.
In addition to the delivery, installation and commissioning of key technologies, Coperion's project scope includes extensive engineering services and on-site staff training.
Designed to meet global requirements, the capacity of the fluff conveying system is one of highest ever developed for polyolefin powder and includes the ZXQ 800 blow-through rotary valve as a high-performance component in the system.
The dense phase conveying system for pellets is also designed for record-setting performance capacities. It includes the 32 inch diameter ZVH 800 high-pressure discharge valve, intelligent air flow control and the latest dense phase pipe support technology.
The proven ZSK 380 twin screw extruder technology is the basis for the customer´s efficient and reliable compounding process step.
