Interview with Magpet Polymer: Closing the Loop with New Bottle-to-Bottle-Recycling Plant

The Indian preform and plastic packaging manufacturer Magpet Polymer Pvt Ltd recently decided to build a new plant for the recycling of PET bottles and equip it with an integrated recycling system from Herbold Meckesheim and Coperion. In addition to the mechanical processing of used PET bottles, the recycling system encompasses all process steps leading up to extrusion with a ZSK twin screw extruder, including pelletizing and an SSP (Solid State Polycondensation) reactor. We talked to Devendra Surana, Managing Director at Magpet, & Indroneel Goho, President & CEO at Magpet, to learn more about their business, their long-term vision as well as the main drivers of this project.
