Test Centers for Battery Production

Test Center für die Herstellung von Batterien

Discover our test lab capabilities for efficient li-ion battery manufacturing.

Test Capabilities for Battery Manufacturing

In our test centers, we offer you extensive opportunities to test various process steps in battery manufacturing. These test centers are the ideal platform for testing changes or innovations to your products or recipes. Our experts support you in the design of processes and technologies in order to achieve maximum product quality, safety and efficiency.

Our test centers are equipped to carry out tests with all common battery raw materials. We also have extensive simulation and scale-up expertise.

The following process steps can be tested in our test centers:

  • Continuous extrusion of battery masses

  • Pneumatic conveying and material handling

  • Feeding
  • Filtration

In addition, we operate a research lab for tests with hazardous substances.

Research Lab for Testing Hazardous Materials

Hazardous materials are commonly used in various industrial processes – especially in the production of batteries. Due to their toxic properties, both plants and research laboratories need to comply with strict safety standards to protect both workers and the environment.

In addition to our Test Center for Bulk Material Handling, Coperion offers a fully equipped Research Lab for hazardous materials such as ternary cathode materials (CAM) at our site in Weingarten, Germany.
